About Us
The BYSD logo was thoughtfully designed to reflect the organisation’s heart, purpose, and community.

The “B” in the logo stands for Bedok, honouring the organisation’s origin and current home in the heart of this community.

The “Y” in the centre of the logo symbolises a cheerful, vibrant figure—a person with outstretched arms, representing both the youth and beneficiaries at BYSD. This figure embodies resilience, enthusiasm, and the belief that being differently abled is not a limitation, but rather an opportunity to live a full and active life.

The “Y” also subtly encourages individuals to “find their WHY”—a message that resonates with both beneficiaries and volunteers in their journey of purpose, service, and impact.

The “S” represents Society—symbolising strong community spirit, inclusiveness, and a shared responsibility in supporting one another, especially persons with disabilities.

The “D” stands for Disabled, reinforcing BYSD’s commitment to inclusivity, dignity, and empowerment for people with disabilities.

Together, the letters B-Y-S-D form more than just an acronym, they illustrate the unity between place, people, and purpose.

The accompanying text grounds the logo in purpose and identity, highlighting BYSD’s commitment to serving both Youth and the Disabled, while embracing collaboration to build a more inclusive community.

The clean, rounded letterforms in the logo reflect approachability, warmth, and optimism, qualities that define the youth-driven spirit of care and inclusion at BYSD.
